First part of the historic recording of the recital given by Maria Callas at the Paris Opera on 19 December 1958 — a legendary evening marking her triumphant return to the Paris stage eleven months after the scandal of the Norma in Rome, interrupted after Act I.

Restored frame by frame and sound by sound by Tom Volf and the Maria Callas Endowment Fund from the original 16 mm reels found in 2021 in a cellar in Athens. Here the voice regains its original purity. Released in 2023 for the Callas centenary.
