Maria Callas's first studio recordings. In 1949, aged 26, the young Greek-American soprano signed with the Italian label Cetra. These recordings — excerpts from Norma by Bellini, arias by Mozart and Wagner — capture on record, for the first time, the voice that would shake the 20th century.

Pure archival documents, restored in 2023 by Tom Volf and the Maria Callas Endowment Fund for the centenary. Released 13 December 2023.
