Director and visual arts enthusiast Tom Volf has turned his creations into deeply moving works, combining cinema, theatre and immersive experiences. From his early years at <\/span>Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Ch\u00e2telet in Paris<\/b>He has distinguished himself by his ability to capture the essence of the greatest artistic productions, <\/span>working alongside international legends such as Placido Domingo and Sting<\/b>. His recordings, which combine visual and musical art, have become benchmarks for those seeking to understand the magic and complexity of the world of opera and theatre.<\/span><\/p>

A major turning point in his career came in 2013 when he discovered Maria Callas,<\/b> an encounter that would transform his artistic vision. Fascinated by this opera legend, he embarked on an unprecedented exploration of his life and legacy.<\/span><\/p>

Maria by Callas, her critically acclaimed documentary film<\/b>The film is the result of extensive research: five years of travel, unedited archive research and personal accounts. The film, acclaimed by audiences and critics alike, was shown in over 45 countries and won international awards. The same year, <\/span>Tom became the creator and curator of exhibitions dedicated to Maria Callas, offering the world rare and precious archives.<\/b><\/p>

At the same time, his pen has not been forgotten.<\/span> In 2019, he will publish Maria Callas: Lettres & M\u00e9moires<\/b>an anthology of the diva's correspondence and memoirs.<\/span> This book, which also doubles as a theatrical show<\/b> starring Monica Bellucci, was a huge international success. After a tour of Milan, Paris, New York and Athens, the project was exceptionally well received, and the audience was delighted. <\/span>Tom himself produced the visuals and photographs for the show, offering a unique insight into the actress and diva.<\/b><\/p>

Tom Volf: a travelling artist<\/b><\/p>

More than a director, Tom Volf is an explorer of artistic forms.<\/b> His creations, such as the immersive Maria by Callas exhibition or the JAM Capsules in Paris,<\/span> merge history, art and technology.<\/b> In a bold dialogue between past and present, he has given new life to forgotten artists, periods and places. His staging of Norma in 2023, a tribute to Maria Callas, at the Ancient Theatre of Herod Atticus in Athens, reinvents the staging of the famous work, and some critics see it as a \"new\" version of Norma.<\/span> a direct tribute to the productions of Luchino Visconti.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>

At the end of 2023, he finalised a new project:<\/b> a restored film of Callas' legendary 1958 Paris performance, presented in colour for the first time.<\/span><\/p>
